Well the last few weeks have been pretty eventful. During Spring Break all our plans were foiled by sickness. Everyone feel to fever and coughing one by one, sinus and ear infections galore. We had plans to go to Key Lime Cove (indoor water park that is part of Six Flags park here), but we had to cancel because of fevers.
Soooo, last weekend we went on our re-scheduled trip. It was really fun and the boys just loved all the big slides. The hotel was fantastic as well, all in all a very good trip.
Unfortunately, at about the same time, Justus grew this enormous lump on the left side of his neck - origin unknown. It turns out he had an abscess in his salivary gland. The bad news is that it had to be removed surgically. It was a pretty major surgery. Poor Justus has an enormous 8-inch long incision across his whole neck with these wonderful drains sticking out both sides. He was so sad and out of it for several days, crying and in pain and barely able to walk because of the strong pain killers.
The good news is that as of yesterday, he has starting eating a little bit again and is starting to be himself a little - he even gave me kisses when he woke up yesterday! Thank God! My poor little baby :)
Today we are at my parents for Easter with the whole crowd. The boys are all pleased because the Easter bunny brought them DS Expressions kits for their DS video games - BIG excitement. Of course, they are also already on sugar overload and it is only 9am!
Happy Easter all! May the bunny be good to you :) oh and I almost forgot...Noah learned, or should I say showed us, that he knows how to ride a 2-wheel bike. He just hopped on, rode away without a wobble and yelled back "am I doing this right??" Way to go Noah! My baby is such a big boy :)
